Welcome to camping in Maryland
From the moment you meet charming and hospitable Maryland in person, you’ll be immersed in beautiful outdoor scenery. Bright starlight, sparkling clear ocean nights and a bounty of varied historical sites will greet you.
Maryland’s lively cities, breathtaking waterfalls, historical battlefields and sprawling shorelines make it a dream destination. Little can match the beauty of the Chesapeake Bay, Atlantic Shore beaches, sheer fossil-laden cliffs, rolling farmland, dense hemlock forests and the majestic mountains of Western Maryland. With our endless scenery, there are always places to explore, jaw-dropping sunsets and views that will take your breath away.
Ecology-minded nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts will find much to appreciate, from wild horses roaming sandy beaches to thoroughbreds grazing in grassy fields. Songbirds, waterfowl, osprey and eagles flock here. Over 400 species of birds, 93 species of mammals and hundreds of marine and freshwater fishes call Maryland home. Swim, fish, ride rapids, mountain bike, horseback ride, boat, paddle, golf, hike and, of course, camp!
Maryland welcomes you!
